English.  It may not be the language of love, per say, but it did bring a New York City girl and a Maryland boy together when they met while teaching our lovely native tongue in China.  And, in no time at all, they fell hard.  Hard enough to maintain a long distance relationship from Maryland to New York for five, yes, five years.  This year, though, as Sharon & Chris prepare to start their lives of matrimonial bliss, they are finally together in the same place.

Chris was supposed to be out of town.  And, I guess, technically he was “out of town” in that he was out of the “town” of Maryland and was instead in New York City, planning to propose to beautiful Sharon.  Waiting for her friend to show up, Sharon was surprised when she saw Chris show up across the street instead.  She said at that moment she knew it was coming, but she couldn’t have been more thrilled when he got down on one knee in the middle of Madison Square Park and asked her to be his wife.

Sharon and Chris, now residing in Maryland came into the city for their engagement session and we had a blast!  We had planned to start off at the yummy yummy Shake Shack, but the weather had other thoughts in mind.  We ended up having  such fun playing in the rain and visited Grand Central Station, and the Soda Shop

I simply adore how joyful Sharon and Chris are together.  It’s such a genuine happiness and it is such a pleasure to witness.  Chris and Sharon are the perfect fit and I know their wedding day next month will be equally as perfect.

Maggie, these are great! We had so much fun running around in the rain with you… even if we didn’t get to shoot at our beloved Shake Shack ;) You were truly a joy to work with. Thanks again!

What a great setting for a shoot. You did an awesome job on capturing the love and fun of Chris & Sharon. Many of these photos could be used in magazines as advertisements. Beautiful work AGAIN!

  • This set is the kind that really makes me want to shoot engagement and wedding shots… Absolutely stunning color and tone, and the couple has genuine expressions in every shot. Love the addition of the various shop elements as well!

This is truly one of the few sets i have come across that make me feel like i have to scratch an itch – like i have to go out and shoot right this minute.

a new admirer of your work,
