In the first five minutes of speaking with Tess, I knew I wanted to photograph her wedding. She had a smile in her voice and a wonderful positive energy that made me feel like I was speaking with an old friend – the kind of people in this world that I simply adore! So, when she told me about John and his proposal, I really couldn’t wait to meet them! Not only did John totally surprise Tess with a beautiful proposal at her Uncle’s restaurant in the Hamptons with all of their closest family and friends present, but he also surprised her with maybe the best gift ever – Penny, an adorable Golden Doodle puppy. Now, that’s one incredible guy and together they make a perfect match!
Tess and John will be getting married in July in the Hamptons and I can hardly wait to document their wedding day! These residents of Boston really wanted to have their engagement session in their city, however, so I went out to Boston for their shoot and had a blast getting to know them in one of my favorite cities! Tess and John are full of such warmth and love and it was such a joy to see their adorable little neighborhood and meet sweet Penny who I think may just be the happiest most spirited dog out there. I just loved her and all her energy so I could easily see why Tess and John are so smitten with her. Though, no explanation is needed when it comes to dogs my friends, I get it. Clearly, I get it. I’ve become that crazy dog owner, I’m afraid. But, I digress. Tess and John are just about the sweetest pair ever and were are even sweeter for indulging my sweet tooth with fudge and ice cream. My oh my! I feel so very fortunate to have such amazingly warm and wonderful clients. I know their wedding day in the Hamptons is going to be just as incredible as they are and I’m so thrilled to capture every moment of it!
Thanks so much for your warmth and hospitality in your hometown Tess and John! It was a such a joy to spend the day with you! Counting down to your big day!

Maggie, We always knew you were a talented photographer, but we never knew that you were such a talented writer! You literally made me cry when I read your kind words. The feeling was absolutely mutual and we adored our Sunday with you. Your photographs are art and we couldn’t be more thrilled!! John, Penny, and I sat on our couch and looked at the pictures together. We are so excited and can’t wait to celebrate our big day with you by our side! Above all else, I think we are the most impressed by your ability to take some snapshots of our “spirited” Penny that actually look like she was posing and sitting for more than a second!
