I’m kind of in love with summer and have been that way ever since I was a little girl and it’s something that I don’t anticipate will ever change. I love the feeling summer, the energy, the longer hours of sunshine, the clang of ice cream trucks, the sounds of children free from school playing outside until dusk and the fireflies that float about in an evening sky. I love colorful sunsets on the water, hot sand between my toes, coconut popsicles, swimming in the waves of the salty ocean, and the smell Banana Boat sunblock. I love it all. So having the opportunity to shoot an outdoor day wedding in the summer is my absolute FAVORITE. The light, the breeze, the details, the feel – it’s all simply magical and I would shoot outdoor weddings every day if I could – even in the 105 degree heat we’ve had in the Northeast this summer. I love it THAT much.
Tess and John, who you might remember from their Boston engagement photos, got married on a GORGEOUSLY HOT day in July at the Montauk Manor and I had an absolute blast documenting and being a part of their special day. The bride and groom are so completely wonderful and were full of such infectious delight that I hardly even noticed the 105 degree heat. For real. Their adoring family and friends that surrounded them were just as joyful and wonderful as Tess and John and their day burst out them seems with love and emotion, making me feel lucky to be among this group of people, documenting such a day.
I know that Mr. and Mrs. P are going to be deliriously happy together and I am so honored to have been a part of the start of something so wonderful.
Wishing you a lifetime of all the love, laughter, and joy you both so richly deserve!
With love + appreciation,
Maggie
