NEW YORK ATHLETIC CLUB WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER | MARY + JIMMY

Mary and Jimmy, who you might remember from their New York City Garden Engagement Session, tied the knot at the New York Athletic Club of the City of New York on a beautiful day in June and everything could not have been more perfect.   The lovely bride and groom were simply aglow.  all. day. long.  and it was such a pleasure to document.

The lovely bride wore an absolutely stunning gown, designed especially for her by the uber talented American designer, Peter Sorenen, who’s designed amazing gowns for our First Lady, as well as the lovely Sarah Jessica Parker.  And, wow, was it ever incredible!  The ivory gown had such a rich, timeless beauty about it and the bride-to-be was an absolute vision – so much so that her future husband’s mouth literally dropped in awe when he saw her for the first time.  It was so sweet.  And I have the pictures to prove it! :)

I feel like the luckiest girl to be able to document love and I’m so grateful to Mary and Jimmy for inviting me to be part of their lives on their special day.  Wishing you both a lifetime of continued laughter and love!

With love and hugs,

Maggie

I would imagine that couples like this – beautiful from the inside out – are a gift for any photographer, but you’ve certainly taken that gift and made it extraordinary! Wonderful pictures. I am reminded of classic photographs of Barbara Goalen. Amazing.

I’m obsessed with this wedding… So GORGEOUS!!!

Maggie, Thank you for capturing the magic of our wedding day. We will cherish these photos forever. xo Mary and Jimmy

NYC W HOTEL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER | LAUREN + MITCH

When I met Lauren and Mitch for the first time last year, I immediately adored them, but what really struck me about them was their connection – the interwoven ways in which they were connected without even knowing it. As they told me the story of how they came to be a couple, I couldn’t help but be amazed by how fated their meeting was, and, the more I heard and the more I got to know them, the more I saw how truly special their relationship is. There are certain people you meet that you just know are supposed to be together and Lauren and Mitch are that kind of pair.  There is no way around it – they are perfect for one another and I can’t say what an absolute honor it was to document the start of their lives together as husband and wife at their lovely wedding at the W hotel in Midtown Manhattan.

Certain weddings radiate with emotion, and Lauren and Mitch’s was one such wedding that simply exuded happiness at every corner.  One of my absolute favorite moments of their day was when they saw each other for the first time during their first look.  I don’t think I’ve seen a pair so genuinely joyful to see one another.  They literally just beamed and it made everyone around them smile.  And that, my friends, is simply the affect that Lauren and Mitch have on you.  Everytime I’m with them, my face ends up hurting from smiling so much.

Lauren and Mitch, may your lives together always be filled with as much love and joy as you bring to the lives of those around you!  Thanks so much for allowing me to share in your special day!  It was such a joy!

And a big thank you to Jesse for being so awesome and for second shooting for me!  Also, many thanks to the following vendors for making this day so fabulous!

Venue: W hotel in Midtown Manhattan

Lauren

Maggie,

The photos are AMAZING!!! And after working with you on our E shoot, I’m not at all surprised. I can’t say enough fabulous things about your work! Every person that met you at the wedding said how sweet and professional you are–and your talent, well that speaks for itself!!! Mitch commented after the wedding that every time he wanted to take a picture with someone, it was like you were already there and shooting–you really covered it all and got all the right shots! We can’t wait to work with you again. I know that the next exciting milestone in our lives will certainly include your photos. We are so grateful that you were there to capture these special memories.

Thank you for everything,

Lauren + Mitch

Love the emotion of the ceremony photos! And nice back light with the first dance :)

NYC BRIDAL PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER | BRIDE-TO-BE ALISA

Ever wonder why certain traditions only exist in certain parts of the world?  I do!  And, I have to say, the southern tradition of taking bridal portraits prior to the wedding day is one that New York City needs to adopt immediately!  When the lovely southern belle, Alisa contacted me late last Summer to arrange her bridal portraits in New York City this Spring, I was super excited and met up with her to discuss ideas over coffee. As soon as I met her, I instantly loved her.  Alisa is just bea.u.ti.ful inside and out and she is filled with a light and joy that is utterly contagious. She smiles endlessly and is just so much fun to be around.  The bride-to-be just completed her Masters in Dance at NYU this Spring, and, being a true southern belle at heart wanted to carry on the southern tradition of bridal portraits in her favorite city before she moved back down to the south. Brilliant I tell you, simply brilliant!

Alisa looked absolutely stunning and half of New York City stopped to tell her so.  And can you blame them?  She is gorgeous!  There is just something so special about New Yorkers taking the time to stop and congratulate Alisa and tell her how amazing she looked.  I suppose it’s because of the pace of the city – the busied lives that everyone seems to have  - always rushing to go somewhere with things to do.  So, when they take a moment and stop, it almost seems to mean more than a place where you might see acts like that happen all time. It was awesome! And, I have to warn you, Trent, you are going to be simply in awe of your future wife on your big day so starting taking some deep breaths now! :) Alisa and Trent will be tying the knot in Oklahoma this month, and I couldn’t be happier for this incredibly sweet pair!

New York misses you already, Alisa!  Wishing you a lifetime full of much love and laughter!

Big hugs,

Maggie

Maggie,
These pictures are amazing! I loved the slide show – your wonderful pictures and Jack Johnson’s song! You captured her so well, and your comments about her are “spot on” – she is a beautiful woman, inside and out, and we are so glad she is in our family!

Jenna

Wow! Alisa looks incredible! These pictures are absolutely classy and sexy. GREAT job at capturing Alisa’s beauty.

maggie

Aw, yay! Thanks so much Alisa, Trent, Emily, & Mom! It was such fun!!

Gorgeous! The ice cream ones are adorable.

Alisa

Maggie, these are AMAZING! You made me look (and feel!) like a model! You are such a wonderful photographer! Thank you SO much! I really can’t wait to show these to my man! It’s killing me to have to wait until after he sees me walk down the aisle! THANK YOU!

Trent

I couldn’t agree more about bridals in NYC. As a southern boy living in the city, I don’t quite get the reason why people don’t do bridals in the north. Let’s start the movement Maggie!

Dottie

Such a beautiful bride and you captured her beauty and her emotion fabulously. Loved the slideshow too. The timing of each picture sliding on and off the screen was perfect. WOW!
